JOSEPHINE H. BRADY, 84, of Montrose died Friday, May 3, 2002 at her residence. 
Josephine was born February 28, 1918 in Gladwin, Michigan to the late Joseph 
and Helena (Mitchell) Shea. She had resided in Montrose the past 16 years, 
coming from Gladwin. Josephine graduated from Gladwin High School. She married 
Roy A. Brady June 14, 1941. He preceded her in death May 21, 1984. 
She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose. She was an 
active member and past president of the Montrose Senior Citizens, and was also 
active with the Montrose Blueberry Festival. She was a member of several area 
card clubs and enjoyed crochet, reading and making her special family 
blankets. Josephine cherished time spent with her family. 
   Surviving are seven children: Joseph (Bonnie) Brady of Beaverton; Julia 
(Ray) Foust of Montrose; Mary (Craig) Ricksgers of LInden; Ed Brady of 
Montrose; Teresa (Steve) Skaggs of Fenton; Anne (Harland) Congdon of Linden; 
and Vincent Brady of Davison. Also surviving are four grandchildren and five 
great-grandchildren and two sisters, Kathleen Smith of Kalamazoo and Lucille 
Isham of Gladwin. 
She was also preceded in death by her son Michael and daughter-in-law Evelyn 
Brady. 
Funeral mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2002 at Good Shepherd 
Catholic Church in Montrose, with Rev. Fr. Gildasio Mendes officiating. 
Memorial contributions may be made to the “Liberty Center” of Genesee County 
Community Health or Heartland Hospice. Gladwin County Record dated 05-08/2002
