Ferdie O. Brewer, 81, OF 2623 Glidden Rd., Beaverton, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 
in the Clare Community Hospital. Born in Clay County, Ill., Aug. 22, 1903, he 
came to Gladwin County in 1941 from Ann Arbor. He was self-employed in 
plumbing and heating. Mr. Brewer and the former Belle Snay were married June 
30 1924, in Caro.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Berniece VanOver of 
Anaheim, Calif.; 3 sons, Lester of Dodge City, Harrison, Norman of Farwell and 
Leonard of Beaverton; 3 brothers, Alton of Beaverton, Clarence of Whitmore 
Lake and Ivo of Saline; 3 sisters, Gladys Seyfried and Berneice Wilson of Ann 
Arbor and Lucille Mortensen of Big Rapids; 14 grandchildren and 14 great 
grandchildren.
   Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Arthur Whisler and the Rev. Martin Ledwidge officiated and 
burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
