Born in Louisville, Ill., on August 2, 1879, he came to Gladwin County 32 years ago. In 1935 Mr. Brewer bought the Flynn farm in Buckeye Township which he farmed until the death of his wife, Lenora, on July 12, 1952. Since that time he has lived with his sons and daughters. At the time of his death he was living with a son, Clarence, in Ann Arbor. Mr. Brewer was a member of the First Christian Church and a long- time member of the Odd Fellows. He has 94 living descendants. Surviving are six sons, Ferdie O., Lodell and Alton of Beaverton, Rollie, Ivo and Clarence of Ann Arbor; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Seyfried, Mrs. Bernice Wilson, and Mrs. Lucile Mortensen; three sisters, Winfred Busick and Myrtle Pepper in Illinois and Belle LaRoe of Chelsea; 30 grandchildren; 52 great grandchidlren and one great great grandchild. A son, Otho and a daughter, Thelma, preceded him in death. Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Nelson E. Clair officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
