Broka, 86, of 218 Saginaw St., Beaverton, died Thursday, Sept. 9, at the Clare Osteopathic Hospital, following a brief illness. Born in Paulding County, Ohio, March 7, 1890, the former Anna Ashbrook was married to Daniel D. Broka in 1908 in Ohio. He preceded her in death in November of 1938. Mrs. Broka was a member of the Beaverton First United Methodist Church. Surviving are 6 daughters, Mrs. James (Alma) Clore of Midland, Mrs. Don (Helen) Rousseau of Gladwin, Mrs. Virgil (Marie) Clark of Flint, Louelle Broka of Beaverton, Mrs. Palmer (Clara) Peterson of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Roy (Norma Jean) Lakso of Midland; 5 sons, David, Harold, George and Lloyd, all of Beaverton, and James of Coleman; one brother, George Winn of Grand Rapids; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary Price of Gladwin and Mrs. Emma Wager of Midland; 21 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Beaverton First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Vernon Wyllys officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery. Mrs. Broka was in state in the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel, until noon Saturday.
