Bertha H. Brown, 99, of 5994S. M-30, Beaverton, died Sunday, Jan. 20 in Mt. 
Dora Health Care Center, Mt. Dora, Fla., after a short illness. Born in 
Gladwin County Oct. 23, 1892, she had spent her lifetime here. She was a 
member of the Edenville Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Tobacco Township 
Ladies Aid. The former Bertha Swanton, she was married to Shirley V. Brown 
Feb. 14, 1912, in Hope. He preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1977.
   Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Wehrley of Edenville; one 
son, Brandon of Rhodes; one brother, Bradford of Rudyard; 7 grandchildren; 19 
great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild. Services are incomplete, 
but will be held at the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. Burial will be in 
the Dale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer 
Society.
