Dale G. Brown, 66, of Beaverton, died Monday, April 20, 1998 at MidMichigan 
Medical Center-Midland after a short illness. Born April 21, 1931, he was a 
supervisor for The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, retiring in 1986 after 36 
years. He was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County. He was a member of the 
Gladwin Eagles Club, Aerie 3292; past master of the Beaverton Masonic Lodge; 
on the Gladwin hospital board for seven years; the Beaverton board of 
education for 12 years (president for eight years); and nine years as handicap 
chairman for the Gladwin Heights Golf Association. He also coached Beaverton 
Little League, and was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. Dale married the 
former Joanne Walker, Oct. 10, 1950 in Beaverton.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Pamela and husband 
Robert Weaver, and Linda Brown, all of Beaverton; one brother, Robert of 
Carson City, Nev.; one sister, Hazel A. Lamb of Dallas, Texas; two 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 
   Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday) at the Hall Funeral 
Home, Beaverton Chapel, with Rev. David Stewart officiating. Burial will be in 
Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Wednesday) 1 to 9 
p.m. a special Masonic memorial service will be held today (Wednesday) at 7 
p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pardee Cancer Fund or Beaverton 
United Methodist Church.
