Gladwin County Record dated 02-13/1980 Column - 4 Page - 2   
Elmer Brown, 76, of 699 Oliver Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly Friday, Feb. 8, 
at his home. Born in Merrill on October 9, 1903, he came to Gladwin County in 
1944 from Akron. He retired from Dow Chemical Co. in 1967. Mr. Brown was 
married to the former Gladys Hodges in June 1926 in Merrill. 
   Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Ernest of Beaverton; one 
brother, Horace of Merrill; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A 
daughter, Orene, preceded him in death in 1939. Services were held Tuesday at 
2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Donald Bates 
officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
