Fay L. Brown, 68, of 417 S. Ross St., Beaverton, died Monday, July 19, in the 
Midland Hospital Center. Born in Tobacco Township on December 30, 1913, she 
spent her lifetime in Gladwin County. Mrs. Brown graduated from Beaverton High 
School in 1932 and graduated from Central Michigan University. She taught 
school at Winegars and in Beaverton for 35 years until retiring in 1979. She 
was a member of the Beaverton Church of the Brethren, a life member of the 
Beaverton Education Association and the Michigan Education Association. The 
former Fay Quelet, she was married to Oscar Brown on June 2, 1938, in 
Beaverton.
   Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Yvonne) 
Dubay of Saginaw and Mrs. Ray (Darlene) Balzer of Gladwin; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ola 
Shaw of Beaverton and Mrs. Naomi Mishler of Peru, Ind.; and 4 grandchildren. 
   Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. 
The Rev. John Mishler will officiate and burial will be in the Dale Cemetery.
