Mrs. Gladys Brown, 87, of 699 Oliver Rd., Beaverton, died Sunday, July 7, 
1991, in the Town and Country Nursing Home, Midland, after a long illness. 
Born in Merrill, Aug. 22, 1903, she moved to Gladwin County from Akron in 
1944. The former Gladys Hodges, she was married to Elmer Brown in June 1926, 
in Merrill. He preceded her in death Feb. 8, 1980. 
   Surviving are one son, Ernest of Beaverton; one brother, Clyde Hodges of 
Merrill; one sister, Berniece Honaman of Merrill; 3 grandchildren and 5 great 
grandchildren, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Orene, in 1939.
   Services were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Ed Abbott officiated and burial was in the Tobacco 
Township Cemetery.
