Robert W. Browne, 66, of 4699 Dundas Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly Wednesday, 
July 20, at his home. bonr in Saginaw, Oct. 26, 1921, he moved to Gladwin 
County in 1961 from Saginaw. Mr. Browne was a crane operator for General 
Motors Central Foundry in Saginaw for 17 years until retiring in 1961. He was 
a member of the U.A.W. and Local 455 Retirees. Mr. Browne was married to the 
former Anne J. Anderson, Sept. 29, 1945, in Saginaw. She preceded him in death 
Sept. 28, 1985.
   Surviving are 3 sons, Robert Jr. of Flint, Dennis of Bay City and John of 
Traverse City; 2 daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Cherly) Gassman and Mrs. Jeff 
(Kimberly) Pribbernow of Beaverton; 3 brothers, Richard of St. Charles, Wiley 
of Reese and Morley of Saginaw; one sister, Mrs. Charlene Hanson of Flint; 3 
half-brothers, Earl and Thomas Wenzel of St. Charles and John Wenzel of 
Indiana; and 13 grandchildren. 
   Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Mark Moore officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township 
Cemetery.
