ILLNESS FATAL TO FRED BRUSHABER

   Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Beaverton Methodist 
Church, for Fred Brushaber, 83, who died at the Gladwin Nursing Home on 
Wednesday, August 20, following a six months illness. The Rev. Verne Summers 
officiated and burial was in Dale cemetery. Mr. Brushaber was born on Jan. 22, 
1875 in Saginaw, and had been a resident of Gladwin County since 1888. He was 
married to the former Melinda Mae Hawley in 1904 in Wolverine, who preceded 
him in death on July 2, 1957.
   Survivors include two sons, Fred, of Gladwin, and Lynn, of Saginaw; four 
daughters, Mrs. Anna Colbeck and Mrs. Ida Snyder, of Saginaw, Mrs. Donna 
Reinberg, of Midland, and Mrs. Lola Jacobi, of Sanford; two brothers, Henry, 
of Saginaw, and Charles, of Wolverine; one sister, Mrs. Tina Berger, of 
Saginaw; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Nephews of Mr. Brushaber 
were pallbearers.
