LONG ILLNESS FATAL TO 5-YEAR-OLD BOY

   William A. Burke, III, five-year-old Beaverton boy, died Sunday at the 
Children's Hospital in Detroit following a six months illness. He is the son 
of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Burke Jr., of Beaverton. William was born in 
Midland on Dec. 17, 1952, and had resided in Beaverton most of his life.
   Surviving are his parents; a brother, John; two sisters, Kathy and Brenda; 
and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Burke, Sr., of Midland; and Mr. and 
Mrs. Fred Hoxy, of South Branch. Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) 
at 2 o'clock at the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints at Midland. Elder 
Robert Campbell officiated and burial was in the Dale cemetery.
