Gladwin County Record dated 03-03/1910 Column - 3 Page - 1   
Wesley Burkett, aged 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Burkett of Beaverton, was 
killed in Chicago while at work. The remains were brought home for interment 
and buried in the Dale cemetery. Mr. Burkett was a young man of excellent 
character and was held in esteem by his many friends as shown by the way he 
was sent home. The beautiful flowers and cards of sympathy were silent tokens 
of his friends in Chicago and elsewhere.
