Marjorie A. Burr, 80, of Beaverton, passed away Feb. 7, 2003, at Gladwin Pines 
Nursing Home in Gladwin, Michigan, following a long illness. Marjorie was born 
July 15, 1922, to Lewis and Laura (VanRegenmorter) McDonald in Freemont, 
Michigan. She was an employee of Beaverton Rural Schools and retired in 1982 
after 30 years of service. Marjorie lived in Gladwin County most of her life 
and attended Beaverton United Methodist Church. Marjorie married Ivan Benjamin 
Burr on Aug. 22, 1942, in Charlevoix, Michigan. He predeceased her in 1993.
   Surviving are two sons and daughters in law, Stephen and Crystal Burr of 
Beaverton and Dennis and Margie Burr of Pace, Florida; a daughter and son in 
law, Sandra and Ronald Duke of Grand Blanc; seven grandchildren and 12 great-
grandchildren; two sisters, Jessie Williams of Ohio and Leona Zietler of 
Charlevoix; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Marjorie was 
preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
   Funeral services were held on Feb. 10, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Hall Funeral 
Home in Beaverton with Pastor Linda Jo Powers officiating and burial following 
at Beaverton Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hall 
Funeral Home in Beaverton. Contributions can be made to Beaverton United 
Methodist Church.
