Pleasant Nursing Home. Alexander was born January 27, 1907, in Vienna, Austria, the son of Henry and Hermine (Dangle) Baker. Mr. Baker had resided in the Gladwin-Harrison areas since 1967, moving from Rochester. He was employed for many years as a foreman for GMC Truck. Alexander H. Baker was united in marriage to Annie DePlonty October 7, 1926, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Mrs. Baker preceded him in death on Sepember 17, 1995. Surviving are one daughter, Margarite Huck and husband Richard of Gladwin, two sons, Howard Baker and wife Jane of Massachusetts and George Baker and wife Joan of New Mexico; seven grandchildren, three great=grandchildren; plus other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert. Cremation has taken place at Autumn Valley Crematory in Prudenville. arrangements were by Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison.
