Gladwin County Record dated 06-07/1917 Column - 5 Page - 4
CALHOON --- A. Murray Calhoon, born near Centerville, Mich, August 31, 1881, 
died at his home near Beaverton, May 15, 1917, after a short illness of 
pneumonia, aged 36 years, 8 months and 15 days. He came with his parents to 
Gladwin county 17 years ago. In 1911 he was united in marriage to Miss Ilo M. 
Spicer of Beaverton. To this marriage were born two children. Lois, aged four, 
Gorman, aged two. As a husband he was affectionate and faithful, as a father, 
loving and kind. In 1913 he united with the Christian church of Beaverton. He 
is called to the home God has prepared for those that love him, going hence in 
poyous consolation of Christian life. Besides his wife and children he leaves 
father, mother, three brothers and a host of friends to mourn his loss.
