Glen Garman Calhoun, 59, of Beaverton, died suddenly Friday, Feb. 14, at his 
home of a heart attack. Born in Gladwin County on August 4, 1915, he had spent 
his lifetime here and was the Beaverton City Engineer. Mr. Calhoun and the 
former Ava Kaul were married on March 25, 1938, in Paulding, Ohio.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ilomae Nunn of 
Coleman; seven daughters, Mrs. Janet Whitmer, Mrs. Linda Longstretth, Mrs. 
Pamela Cingano, Andrea and Jill Calhoun, all of Beaverton, Mrs. Lorraine 
Veldman of Sawyer and Delynn Calhoun of St. Louis; two sons, John and Murray 
of Beaverton; and three sisters, Mrs. Lois Schnieder and Mrs. Lorraine 
Hitchcock of Beaverton and Mrs. Marion Andrews of Coleman. 
   Rites were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton. The 
Rev. Zina Bennett officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
