Calhoun, 65, were held on Tuesday afternoon from the Bard Evangelical, United Brethren Church, with the Rev. E. F. Rhoades officiating. Burial was made in the Beaverton cemetery. Mr. Calhoun was born on March 18, 1888, in St. Joseph county. He came to Gladwin county in 1900 with his parents, then moved out west and returned in 1930. He was married on June 21, 1913, to Miss Helen Kane, who passed away in 1921. On July 26, 1833, he was married to Mrs Clara Moore at Charlotte and operated a farm in Beaverton, where he died suddenly on Sunday morning, July 5. Surviving are his wife; one son, Maynard Calhoon, of Beaverton; a step-son, Leslie Moore, of Charlotte; a step-daughter, Mrs. Gladys King, of Muskegon; two brothers, Harry of Marion and Leslie of Lansing. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. Pallbearers were Harry Lang, Wilbur Grove, Joe Bell, William Bell, Mike Wavra and Lyman Kerswill.
