Dorothy J. Card, 78, of Beaverton, died Friday, Dec. 26, 1997 at home after a 
long illness. Born Aug. 19, 1919 in St. Louis, she lived in Beaverton 19 years 
and previously lived in Midland. She was a homemaker in her own home and was a 
member of Apostolic Temple in Sanford. 
   Surviving are two daughters, Joy and husband Dennis Crowl of Beaverton, and 
Ruth Martin of Lapeer; two sons, Larry and wife Fran Thompson of Bonita 
Springs, Fla., and Randy and wife Carol Gooding of Midland; two sisters, 
Shirley Haskell and Arlene Campbell, both of Midland; one brother, Frank 
Gooding of Florida; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; best friend, 
Marie Grant of Beaverton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in 
death by two daughters, Judy and Joann; four sisters; and two brothers.
   Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel 
with Pastor Richard Fairfield and Brother Jmes Brown officiating. Burial was 
in Beaverton Cemetery, Beaverton.
