CAREY Cash A. Carey, 79, of Beaverton, died Friday in the Gladwin Hospital after a long illness. Born in Hope Township, Midland County, on May 28, 1889, he came to Gladwin County in 1924, from Hope. Mr. Carey was a blacksmith and implement dealer from 1924 to 1964 in Beaverton. He was a life member of IOOF Lodge no. 177 Gladwin and the Beaverton First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Carey was married to Mildred Wood in 1913. Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Muriel MacRae of Harrison, Mrs. Barbara Miller, Waynesburg, Pa., Mrs. Kathleen Hitchcock and Mrs. Ulra Hall, both of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Piegols of Larkin; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Pauline White, preceded her father in death on April 30, 1968. Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Arthur Whisler officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
