Charles H. Channell, 69, of 4840 S. Dundas Road, Beaverton, died Monday, July 
17, at the Gladwin Area Hospital following an illness of three days. A 
resident of Gladwin County for 30 years, he was born in Wells County, Indiana, 
May 25, 1903. He came here from Flint. Mr. Channell and the former Sarah 
Harvey were married in Kendallville, Ind., August 22, 1935.
   Surviving are his wife Sarah; four daughters, Mrs. Frank (Leona) McManus of 
Traverse City, Mrs. Richard (Ethel) Kimble of Portage, Mrs. Charles 
(Charlotte) Sherman of Traverse City, Mrs. Ussery (Judy) Letson of Kalamazoo; 
one son, Charles of Bradenton, Fla.; and 20 grandchildren.
   Services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
with Elder Harold Keeley officiating and burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
