SERVICES ARE HELD FOR MRS. CHRISTIAN

   Funeral services were held for Mrs. Josephine Christian, 84, at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Mills, of Beaverton, at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. 
Charles Kleinhardt officiating. Josephine Gardner was born December 26, 1859, 
at Elyria, Ohio, and died March 22, 1944 at the age of 84. She was the 
daughter of Sarah and Daniel Gardner. She was married to John Miles Christian 
on January 3, 1881. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1944.
   Mrs. Christian joined the Methodist Church at Olmsted Falls, Ohio, when a 
young woman. Surviving are a stepson, Charles Christian, of Medina, Ohio; an 
adopted daughter, Myrtle Mills, of Beaverton, with whom she has made her home 
for the past eight years. Interment was at the Beaverton cemetery.
