Additional Comments: Note: It is not known when Bob Cochran came to Michigan, and why he chose Billings, MI (the corner of M-30 and Brushaber Roads) to settle. He and Jap Mann built the log cabin that he and his future wife, Ella Skinner, would live in. Bob cleared much of the land himself. Both of his daughters were born in the house. Later, they built a modern home near the old log house. Bob's brother, Nat, came to stay with them in the log house in about 1907, which would have made Nat about 21 years old. Nat stayed with them until he married in 1909. {In Memory of George Bradford Sterling who authored (4) Family Tree Books. This notation from Book on Descendants of James Whitfield Cochran}.
