COLE DIES AT MESICK FEBRUARY 18 Services were held Sunday afternoon, February 23, at 1:30 at the Lyle Evangelical church for Samuel A. Cole, conducted by Rev. T. S. (?) pastor of the Saginaw Seventh Day Adventist church. Burial was at the Beaverton cemetery. Mr. Cole died February 18 at the home of his son, William Cole; at Mesick, where he was spending the winter. He was born December 25, 1846, near Clarkston in Oakland county. His parents died when he was a small child and he went to live with an uncle in Clinton county. He married Miss Arvina M. Sage September 26, 1868. In early life he joined the Seven Day Adventist church, Mr. and Mrs. Cole later moved to Morley where they lived until they moved to Beaverton 20 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Arvilla Cole at Mesick and Arthur Cole of Beaverton, nine grandchildren, one great-grand-daughter and one sister at St. Johns.
