ILLNESS FATAL TO MAURICE COLLINS

   Maurice J. Collins, 65, of Beaverton Township, died at Saginaw General 
Hospital Friday, Jan. 23, following a long illness. Born Feb. 14, 1904, in 
Saginaw, Mr. Collins had spent most of his life in Gladwin County as a farmer. 
He served in the armed services from 1921 to 1931.
   Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Viola Kemp, of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; and a 
brother, Jack, of Pontiac. Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 2:00 p.m. 
from the Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Munger officiating. Burial was 
in Cherry Grove Cemetery, Clare.
