Sanford H. (Hut) Colvin, 63, of 5020 Beaverton Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly 
Monday, April 29, 1991, at the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center, Gladwin. 
Born in Owosso, Feb. 9, 1928, he owned Colvin Serap Metal in Beaverton. Mr. 
Colvin moved to Gladwin County in 1967 from Prescott. He served in the Army 
during World War II. Mr. Colvin and the former Shirley Dorey were married Nov. 
10, 1954, in Angola, Ind.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 7 sons, Terry of Sanford, Rod and 
Richard of Beaverton, Roland and Roger of Gladwin, Ronald of Midland and 
Raymond of North Carolina; one daughter, Mrs. Deborah Kretz of Midland; 14 
grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, 
Dusty and Randy, a brother, Vernon and a sister, Verna Marsh.
   Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Gary Eastman will officiate and burial will be in the 
Beaverton Cemetery.
