ILLNESS FATAL TO MARGARET COOPER

   Mrs. Margaret M. Cooper, 70, of Hamilton Township, Clare County, died 
Thursday in the Gladwin Hospital following an illness of three weeks. The 
former Margaret Smith was born in Morrice on April 5, 1895. She came to Clare 
County 20 years ago from Flint. Mrs. Cooper was a member of St. Paul's 
Episcopal Church, Gladwn, and Past Matron of the Gladwin O.E.S. She was 
married to Phillip Ross Cooper on May 13, 1961 in Gladwin.
   Besides her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Myrta Grine, 
Albion, N.Y., and Mrs. Mildred Eastridge, Flint; and two brothers, Charles and 
Anson Dick Smith, of Flint. Services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the 
Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. Franz Ollerman officiated and burial was in Dale 
Cemetery.
