SERVICES HELD FOR ELIZA COOPER

    Mrs. Eliza Cooper, 85, died Sunday, July 7, at Harper Hospital, Detroit, 
following a three-week illness. Born in Port Huron on Oct. 28, 1877, she spent 
most of her life in Beaverton. The former Eliza Smith was married to George 
Cooper who preceded her in death in 1936.
   Survivors include two daughters, Miss Edith Cooper, of Oak Park, with whom 
she made her home, and Mrs. Pearl Small, of Detroit, two sisters, Mrs. Ida 
Benmark of Gladwin, and Mrs. Olive Cowan, of DeWitt; four grandchildren, 11 
great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A son, Guy, also preceded 
her in death in 1958.
    Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Beaverton R.L.D.S. 
Church with Elder Alva Pendleton officiating and burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
