James F. Cornell, 56, of Parkway Beach, Gladwin, died suddenly Tuesday, Feb. 
20, at his home. Born in McClure, Ohio, on April 24, 1916, he came to Gladwin 
County 46 years ago from Ohio. Mr. Cornell was a farmer. He was married to the 
former Velva Blades on Oct. 16, 1937, in Tobacco Township. 
   Besides his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Joyce Geasler of 
Lake, Mrs. Lois Vandervede, Mrs. Melody Reid and Nancy of Gladwin and Mrs. Ann 
Muma of Saginaw; two sons, Franklin and George of Gladwin; his mother, Mrs. 
Maude Cornell of Beaverton; one brother, William of Beaverton; and six 
sisters, Mrs. Hazel White, Mrs. Katherine Stillwagon, Mrs. Hilda Powell and 
Mrs. Viola Silance, all of Beaverton, Mrs. Helen Yager of Shields and Mrs. 
June Buck of Walled Lake.
   Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. 
F. E. Voller will officiate and burial will be in the Dale Cemetery.
