Crockett, 69, of 3750 Calhoun Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly Sunday, Nov. 8, 1992, at his home. He was born in Beaverton on March 26, 1923, and has spent his lifetime there. Mr. Crockett was a farmer and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Beaverton Lions Club and the Gladwin County Fair Board. Mr. Crockett and the former Jean Godwin were married Dec. 1, 1972, in Midland. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Dan of Beaverton and Jeff of San Diego, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Barry (Dianne) Woodruff of Beaverton; 3 step-sons, John Broddle of Jacksonville, Fla., Russ Broddle of Denver, Colo., and Jeff Broddle of Lansing; one step-daughter, Marilyn Wasmuth of Troy; 3 brothers, Jacob of Coleman, Floyd of Midland and Roger of Beaverton; 2 sisters, Mrs. Viola Roberts of Beaverton and Mrs. Helen Balmer of Chelsea; 4 granddaughters and 7 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Albert, Marion and Paul. Services were held today, Wednesday, at 3:30 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Donald Keen officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Gladwin County Fair.
