Mrs. Esther B. Crosby, 74, of 306 Tonkin St., Beaverton, died Saturday, Feb. 
6, in the Clare Nursing Home, after a long illness. Born in Fairfield, Iowa, 
Sept. 16, 1913, she moved to Gladwin County in September 1987, from Brighton. 
The former Esther Lane, she was married to Robert Crosby Sept. 24, 1946, in 
Ohio.
   Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Robert M. of Brighton; 3 
daughters, Mrs. Paul (Barbara) Simmons and Mrs. Charles (Donna) Cook of 
Ortonville and Mrs. Jay (Sandra) Campbell of Davisburg; 4 brothers, Russell of 
Gladwin; Jack of Houston, Texas, Bruce of Ohio and Lyle of Waterford; 3 
sisters, Evelyn Jarvis and Billie Jewell of Leota and Ruby Helzer of Florida; 
14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
   Rites were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Donald Keen officiated and burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
