Robert E. Crosby, age 78, of Beaverton, Michigan, died September 14, 2002 at 
Gladwin Pines Nursing Home, Gladwin. He was born October 14, 1923 at 
Waterford, Michigan. He worked maintenance at Camp Tamarack in Brighton, 
Michigan, where he lived before moving to Gladwin County in 1987. 
He married Esther (Lane) Crosby in Ohio. She predeceased him in 1988. 
   Surviving are three daughters, Barbara (Paul) Simmons of Flint, Donna Cook 
of Beaverton and Sandra (Jay) Campbell of Davisburg; a son, Bob/Mike Crosby; 
13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; a 
sister, Vanda Mitchell of Burton; and two nephews. 
Robert was predeceased by his parents and a grandson, Mark Simmons. 
   Funeral services took place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at Hall 
Funeral Home in Beaverton. Pastor Brad Withrow officiated. Burial took place 
in Beaverton Cemetery.
