Frank E. Currie, 71, 3658 Townline Rhodes died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 1984, at Midland Hospital Center. He was born Oct. 7, 1913, in Gladwin County where he lived all his life. He married the former Francis E. Hathaway, May 10, 1941. He had been employed at the Dow Chemical Co for 25 years retiring in 1975. He leaves his wife; sons, Earl Currie of Mount Pleasant, Ervin Currie of Rhodes, Roger Currie of Midland, David Currie of Dexter, Mo., William Currie of Billings, Mo., and Norman Currie of Rhodes; daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Janet) Allen of Rhodes, Mrs. Ron (Zelma) Rogers of Lowndess, Mo., Mrs. Dale (Donna) Swinson of Linwood, Mrs. Ray (Bonme) Fisher of Barnhard, Mo., Mrs. Robert (Debbie) Novy of Southtown, Mo. and Mrs. Rodney (Susan) Maxson of Midland. He also leaves brothers, George Currie of Rhodes and Harris Currie of Beaverton; sisters, Mrs. Marie Parkins of Florida, Alice Franklin of South Carolina, Mrs. Addie Kinne of Freeland and Mrs. Edith Hyer of Midland; 35 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sister Beatrice Mackey. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday from the Ware-Smith-Woolever & Co. Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allen R. Druckmiller of the Hope Lutheran Church in Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Billings Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at 7 p.m. today.
