ILLNESS FATAL TO HOPE MAN

   Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral 
Home in Midland for Willard V. Cutler, 45, of Hope, who died in a Detroit 
hospital Thursday following a short illness. Burial was in Dale Cemetery, 
Gladwin County. Born in Detroit on March 29, 1918, he was employed in the 
summertime as a trucker in the Detroit area, spending his winters at Hope. 
   Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cutler, of New York; five 
sisters, Mrs. Josephine O'Connell, of Livonia, Mrs. Doris Gingerich and Mrs. 
Roberta Thrush, of Beaverton, Mrs. Helen Olson, of Portland, and Clarabelle 
Cutler, of New York.
