Mary E. Davis, 89, of Knox Rd., Beaverton, died Friday, Jan. 26, 1990, in the 
Gladwin Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Covington, Ohio, Nov. 19, 
1900, she moved to Gladwin County years ago. Miss Davis was a teacher for the 
Gladwin Rural Schools until retiring. She was a member of the Beaverton Church 
of the Brethren and taught Sunday School. Surviving is a sister, Mae Berg of 
Midland. Rites were held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Dale Cemetery with Elder 
Arthur Wade officiating. Arrangements were in charge of the Sisson-Mathews 
Funeral Home.
