Born July 30, 1908 in Gladwin County, she was employed by Brown Machine Co. and Beaverton Rural Schools until retiring in 1969. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Beaverton Church of the Brethren. The former Rose Hooper married Kenneth Davis Oct. 27, 1927 in Beaverton. He preceded her in death July 4, 1985. Surviving are 3 sons, Norm and wife Dorothy of Gladwin, Donald of Beaverton, and Stan and wife Judy of Beaverton; one daughter, Beulah and wife Waldo Hover of Beaverton; one brother, Fred Hooper of Beaverton; one sister, Edith Wilkinson of Beaverton; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Glenn and Earl Hooper and one sister, Mina Metcalf. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) from the Beaverton Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Kenneth Golay officiating. Burial was in the Dale Cemetery, Tobacco Township. Arrangements were handled by the Hall Funeral Home.
