Davis, 69, of Beaverton. Mr. Davis seemed in good health up until the time of his death. He had worked the day he died helping Jerome Kintner fell trees. Funeral services were held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Beaverton Methodist Church with the Rev. S. T. Pendleton, of the LDS Church officiating. Burial was in the Beaverton cemetery. Born May 12, 1874 , in St. Clair county, Mr. Davis was married on October 22, 1900, in Gladwin. He lived in Gladwin county most of his life. He operated a farm in Tobacco township until several years ago when he retired and moved to Beaverton. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Melvina Davis; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Whitman, of Tobacco township; three sons, Stanley and Kenneth, of Beaverton, and Harrison, of Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Rose Metzger, of Marlette; and two brothers, Russell, of Flint, and Marshall, of Allegan; and nine grandchildren.
