Gladwin County Record
Esther T. Dawley , 84, of Midland, Michigan passed away Sept. 27, 2003 at 
MidMichigan Medical Center - Midland following a long illness. 
She was born May 21, 1919 to Charles and Susie (Kasler) Lehman in Logan, Ohio. 
Esther married Ivan Dawley Sr. on Nov. 2, 1935 in Logan, Ohio; he preceded her 
death in 1998. Esther was a homemaker and moved to Gladwin County in 1970 from 
Ohio. 

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley L. (Donald) Needham of Breckenridge 
and Pauline E. (Robert) White-Manifold of Gladwin; three sons, Chuck W. 
(Nancy) Dawley of Hemlock, Ivan (Anell) Dawley Jr. of Gladwin, and Orval L. 
(Ann) Dawley of Greenbush; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her 
husband, she was predeceased by a son, Pat Dawley, in 1996, as well as several 
brothers and sisters. 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 1) at Hall 
Funeral Home in Gladwin with Pastor Jeff Hickman officiating. Burial will take 
place in Arbutus Cemetery in Beaverton. Visitation was held Tuesday at the 
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be used according to the family’s 
wishes.
