ILLNESS FATAL TO MR. DEMOINES

   Leonard L. DeMoines, 44, of Gladwin Township, died Tuesday May 5, at the 
Gladwin Hospital following an illness of two years. Born in Petosky on Oct. 1, 
1925, he came to Gladwin County six years ago from Mt. Pleasant. Mr. DeMoines 
was a welder at Brown Machine Co. in Beaverton. He was married to the former 
Joanne McAllister on March 18, 1950, in Flint.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Kirk of Gladwin, and Mark 
and Jeff, at home; two daughters, Denise and Cheryl, at home; one brother, 
Benjamin Jr., of Mt. Pleasant; and six sisters, Mrs. Margaret Strauss, Mrs. 
Yvonne Salter, Mrs. Marlene Vanorden and Mrs. Dorothy Fairman, all of Mt. 
Pleasant, Mrs. Marie Bowers, of Clare, and Mrs. Rosalie Parson, of Lansing.
   Rites will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. Elder 
Elmer Kintner will officiate and burial will be in the Beaverton Cemetery.
