DeVenny, 82, of Beaverton, died Wednesday, June 4, 1997 at the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home after a short illness. Born Oct. 17, 1914 in Akron, Ohio, he lived in Gladwin County his entire life. George married the former Pearl Suter, Sept. 25, 1938 in Beaverton. He had been employed by Brown Machine in Beaverton as an electrician for 12 years, retiring July 1, 1976. He was a charter member of the Tobacco River Muzzle Loaders and N.R.A. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Richard and wife Sandra of Beaverton; two granddaughters; and three great- granddaughters. Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel with Mr. Neil Lucas officiating. Burial was in Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton.
