Thomas J. Dunne, 70, of 31 64 Croll Rd., Beaverton, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 
1992, in the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center, Clare, after a short 
illness. Born in Royal Oak, Feb. 6, 1921, he came to Gladwin County in 1957 
from Birmingham. Mr. Dunne was a sheet metal worker for Sheet Metal Workers 
Local 7, Zone 3. He retired in 1981 after 24 years. Mr. Dunne and the former 
Christina Hackney were married Sept. 19, 1942, in Clawson.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Gary (Merry) Blades 
of Beaverton, Mrs. Robert (Sherry) Weaver of Midland and Mrs. Steve (Susan) 
Schmeck of Cooks; one sister, Mrs. Lenore Oetjens of Beaverton; 9 
grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 
brothers.
   Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. David Stewart officiated and burial was in the Tobacco 
Township Cemetery.
