Ann Elzay, 89, of Beaverton, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1998 at Tender Care Nursing 
Home in Clare after a short illness. Born Feb. 11, 1909 in Salyersville, Ky., 
she lived in Gladwin County 65 years and previously lived in Kentucky. Ann 
married Earl Elzay, March 25, 1934 in Roscommon. He preceded her in death Nov. 
12, 1956. She was a homemaker.
   Surviving are two brothers, Sidney Arnett Jr. of Chelsea, and Boyd Arnett 
of Lowell; one sister, Prude Salyers of Chelsea; one niece, Etta Jean Hughes 
of Harbor Springs; one grand niece, Carolyn Hughes of Harbor Springs; and one 
grand nephew, Patrick Hughes of Livonia. She was preceded in death by her 
parents, three sisters, and five brothers.
   Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. David Stewart 
officiating. Burial was in Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton. 
Memorial contributions can be made to the Dale United Methodist Church. 
Arrangements were in charge of Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel.
