Fassett, 64, of 3097 Curtis Rd., Coleman, died Friday, May 4, 1990, in the Saginaw General Hospital, Saginaw, after a short illness. Born in Detroit, July 5, 1925, he moved to the Beaverton and Coleman area in 1946. Mr. Fassett was a semi-retired as traffic manager for Robinson Industries. He was a private in the Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of the Beaverton Baptist Church. Mr. Fassett and the former Sandra Staley were married Sept. 19, 1974, in Las Vegas, Nev. Besides his wife, he is survived by 5 daughters, Penny Cobb and Dawn Gruebner of Beaverton, Kim Strohkirch of Standish, Shannon Fassett of Butte, Mont. and Dionne Fassett of Coleman; one son, Damion of Houston, Texas; 5 brothers, Richard and David of Beaverton and Gordon of Mildand; 6 sisters, Betty Mishler and Janice Govitz of Beaverton, LaVetta Anderson, Irene Dinnett and Mary Lou Voller of Apache Junction, Ariz.; and Nancy McClain of Pearidge, Arl.; and 8 grandchildren. A sisters, Kathy Fassett preceded him in death in 1955. Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Beaverton Baptist Church. Pastor Brian Wright officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the debt retirement at the church.
