Mrs. Sharon S Fassett, 40, of 301 Cayuga St., Gladwin, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 
in the Gladwin Area Hospital following a long illness. Born in Midland County 
on September 23, 1941, she had spent most of her life in Gladwin County. She 
was a 1959 graduate of Beaverton High School and received a B.S. degree in 
mathematics from Central Michigan University in 1963. She taught at Gladwin 
High School for 6 years and retired from Beaverton High School after 6 years 
due to health. Mrs. Fassett was a member of the Round Lake Baptist Church and 
was past treasurer of the Visually Impaired Persons Club.
   The former Sharon Staley, she was married to David (Buck) Fassett November 
10, 1963, in Beaverton. Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, 
Mrs. Ardis Staley of Gladwin; and one brother, Dirk of Flushing. Services were 
held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. 
Robert Brown officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery, Beaverton.
