Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. at the Beaverton Church of the Brethren with the pastor, the Rev. Earl Atkinson officiating, and interment was made in the Dale cemetery. The son of Smith and Irene (Ford) Fassett, he was born May 4, 1905, at Barton, North Dakota. On September 24, 1924 he was married to the former Miss Cora Ingalls at Glasgow, Montana. Mr. and Mrs. Fassett and family moved from Ypsilanti in 1945 and have resided at their farm, three miles east of Beaverton, since that time. He was employed at the Dow Chemical Company in Midland. Surviving are his wife, Cora; six daughters, Mrs. Paul Mishler, Jr. and Mrs. Larry Anderson of Beaverton, Mrs. Raymond McClain of Gladwin, Janice, Irene and Mary Lou at home; six sons, Kenneth of Dearborn, Sherman in Japan, Richard, Gordon, Robert and David at home; 10 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Smith Fassett, of Detroit, five brothers, Truman of Gladwin, Cecil of California, Robert, Ernest and Albert of Detroit; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Davis of Detroit, Mrs. Louise Wade of Mount Morris, Ill., Mrs. Eva McLaughlin of Dearborn and Mrs. Fay Treasczkinski of Detroit.
