Gladwin County Record dated 07-19/1978 Column - 7 Page - 2   
John C. Finucane, 28, of 68 S. Oceana Dr., Shelby died Sunday, July 16, of 
injuries received when he was struck by a car. Born in Gladwin on December 21, 
1949, he moved to Shelby three years ago from Beaverton. Mr. Finucane was 
employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the A.S.C.S. office in 
Shelby. He was married to Janice Carie on July 13, 1973, in Escanaba.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Mathew, Jamie and Johnnie at 
home; two daughters, Anna and Amy at home; his mother, Mrs. Laura Jane 
Finucane of Beaverton; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Joy Hane of Clare and Mrs. Jean 
Sprague of Midland.
   Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Dale United Methodist Church. 
The Rev. Vernon Wyllys officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. 
Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
