Lang Rd., Beaverton, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 1989, in the Gladwin Area Hospital after a short illness. Born in Coleman, Jan. 10, 1902, she had spent her lifetime in the area. She was a member of the Gladwin R.L.D.S. Church. The former Florence Howe, she was married to Alvin Pendleton, April 10, 1920. He died Feb. 14, 1974. She then married Charles Foster, May 5, 1977, in Beaverton. He preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1988. Surviving are one son, Elwin Pendleton of LeClaire, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. C. S. (Dorothy) Pidcock of Linwood; 2 step-sons, Norman Foster of Grand Blanc and Merle Foster of Flint; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ida O'Donnell of Flushing; one brother, Paul Howe of Houghton Lake; 4 sisters, Mildred Jordan, Helen Cambridge, Verna Williams and Vera Brandt of Houghton Lake; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A daughter, Helen Mallo, preceded her in death May 25, 1982. Rites were held Saturday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. Elder Donn Pendleton officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery.
