Foster, 25, a former resident of Gladwin county, was drowned Sunday afternoon in Budd Lake at Harrison when his boat capsized. Two other passengers in the boat when it overturned, Nancy Straubel, 16, and her brother, Albert, 14, of Midland, were rescued by nearby swimmers and boaters. Larry Foster was born April 22, 1930 in Midland, with his parents he moved to Beaverton in 1943 and in 1949 they moved to Roscommon. He was employed as a laboratory technician at Dow Chemical Company and lived with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dziadosz in, Midland. He spent two years in the service during the Korean war. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Foster of Roscommon; three brothers, Frank of Beaverton, Willard of Roscommon and Warren at home; five sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Grant of Beaverton, Mrs. Aileen Whitman of Buckeye township, Eunice and Marilyn at home and Lorraine of Chicago; his grandparents, Mrs. Maggie Foster and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dziadosz of Midland. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Miner Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Grubaugh officiating. Burial was in the Dale cemetery.
