Gladwin County Record dated 01-12/1972 Column - 4 Page - 2
Eugene Freeman, Sr., of 1476 Dale Road, Beaverton, died Monday, January 10, at 
the Midland Hospital, following a brief illness. Mr. Freeman was born in 
Genesee County March 14, 1877. He came to Gladwin County with his parents 92 
years ago when he was two years old. A former lumberjack and later a farmer he 
was married to the former Miss Ruth Robinson, in Tobacco Township, June 7, 
1905.
   Surviving are his wife, Ruth; one son, Eugene Jr., of Beaverton; two 
daughters, Mrs. Dewey (Ruey) Blades of Beaverton, and Mrs. Cecil (Rhoda) Cole 
of Midland; a brother, Garfield of Beaverton; 10 grandchildren and 12 great 
grandchildren. Services were held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral 
Home, Beaverton, with the Rev. Zina Bennett officiating, and burial was in the 
Dale Cemetery.
