LONG RESIDENT OF COUNTY PASSES

   Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Dale Methodist Church 
for George G. Freeman, 89, who died Thursday at the Midland Hospital following 
an illness of one month. The Rev. Aaron Hyde officiated and burial was in Dale 
Cemetery. A retired farmer, Mr. Freeman was born on April 29, 1872 in Genesee 
County, and was married to the former Alice Boals, August 12, 1896. She 
preceded him in death Nov. 6, 1943. He had lived in Gladwin County for 84 
years.
   Survivors include two sons, Carl, of Beaverton, and Howard, of Flint; and 
two brothers, Eugene and Garfield, of Beaverton.
